cookbook inspiration

We just got back from a trip in California and one of my favorite meals had to be our dinner at Tartine Manufactory. It was recommended by a San Fran local and it's quick to book up - which we learned was for good reason. To start, their bread and butter is out of this world (if you eat here, don't even think about skipping it). And as for the meal, (luckily I married a man who likes/agrees to share)  we ordered a few dishes to split. Each dish was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor.

California has such a vibrant restaurant scene with access to gorgeous local produce, and we enjoyed some really top notch, delicious food. Returning home, it has me inspired to step up our cooking game and focus on trying new recipes. My goal is two new recipes a month.

Here are a few cookbooks that I'm looking to for inspiration ::
(plus they would look great on display in the kitchen...

For the obvious reason that we just enjoyed a wonderful meal - I'm dying to know what recipes they've highlighted in their cookbook. (Fingers crossed the chicken liver pate is included!)

Who wouldn't want to join the 'Bombesquad'? A collection of recipes from women in food. And lets be honest, I'm totally drawn to the red/pink cover for stlying...

The reviews of this book can't be ignored - approachable recipes that are equally quick as they are delicious. Plus there are listen while you cook playlist recommendations from one of my IG favorites Hannah Bronfman.
