brunch in railtown




On Saturday, two of our best friends (pictured below) picked us up at the airport and we got to spend the afternoon together in Vancouver before catching the ferry up the Sunshine Coast to D's parents house. Living so far apart, we love any time spent together with these friends, but I know we're always in for a special treat when they're hosting us in Van - and this trip was no exception. We checked out a very hip establishment in Railtown for brunch; the space happily combines Vancouver Urban Winery, Postmark Brewing and Belgard Kitchen all in one urban contemporary warehouse. There was a large menu of brews and wines on tap and I had a delicious caesar (it is vacation brunch after all).. which was followed by the most decadent salmon gravlax hash. The space was cool, the staff friendly and the food and drink top notch - essentially everything I look for a in a restaurant. A wonderful kick-off to our vacation.
